“I am sorry, I really am”This is the moment I started to really ship these two, I mean the scene at Victrola was awesome, sweet and hot at the same time and everything, but this scene…this is the moment I knew these two would have ended up literally taking a special place in my heart and never leave it. He brought her the Eric Beamon necklace because he already knew her so well to also know that that was the gift she wanted and the thing is that she expected that same gift from Nate (her ideal charming prince, the one she thought would have end up to marry in the end), but paradoxicaly it was Chuck who gave that to her, saving her birthday. And he could have gave her the necklace at any moment during the episode, when he arrived, during the “Define like” scene or even when she confessed him her doubts aboute Nate would have came before midnight, but no he preferred wait the end of the party. Because he knew Nate wouldn’t have come and then she would have need of someone who saved that night for her. And in the end he was there. He provoked her, he banter her during the whole time of the party, but in the end he just couldn’t help but give up to her and be what she needed at that moment. He went to her, and not only he gave her the necklace, but also he made her wear it, he fixed the pendants because he knows how much she cares about being perfect and elegant in every way, he remarked her beauty because he also knows how much insecure she is about this and how much she’s important to her not also to feel pretty but also to hear that from someone else. And then he sincerely confessed her how much is sorry for the way things with Nate ended up, for that horrible night she had. He left her take his hand in hers, he kisses her shoulder with a sweetness that you couldn’t think Chuck was able until this moment. That was in own personal way to say her “Hey, I’m here and I can take care of you”. This scene is so perfect, in every way. It’s still one of my favourite.
Oh, feel free to remove my pathetic rant if you want BTW, I’m conscious it’s probably full of grammar flaws and I apology for this but I don’t know…I feel kinda CB nostalgic today and I needed to write down these things, LOL!
